What is Macro Counting?

Macro counting is counting the macronutrients you take in each day. I can assign you numbers that you are supposed to hit each day, with consistency, in order to meet your goals. The three categories of macronutrients are protein, fat, and carbohydrates. I do the math to figure out how many grams of each of those things you get in order to make up the total number of calories you take in during the day. Then you use a scale or measuring cups and some type of food diary to track and plan everything you eat to fit your numbers. If you are counting macros you likely have some specific physique or athletic goals. It is not something that you should do the rest of your life. It is one tool that can help you meet your goals.
